Kronospan Group is a Europe-based international wood processing and panel manufacturing group, with production facilities in Turkey as well. This reference concerns the group's facility in Kastamonu, Turkey. The company operates continuous manufacturing processes with high demand for reliable thermal energy solutions.
EPC and engineering scope
Bersey undertook the EPC and engineering scope for turnkey delivery of the energy facility. Engineering services, system design and integration were addressed in line with the client's process requirements and operating conditions. The scope brought together the use of production residues as an energy source, the design of systems to meet applicable environmental requirements, and the work required for turnkey delivery.
Plant design
The plant is designed for wood waste combustion from production processes. 30 MW Thermal Oil, 30 MW Hot Gas MDF Dryer, 2x14 TPH Steam.
